JESSICA THE MOST FAMOUS HIPPO:
In March 2000, Tony and Shirley Joubert found an orphaned baby hippo starving and exhausted on the edge of the Blyde River. The couple took it home and nursed it. They were allowed to keep it and it grew up in their home among pets and humans.
During this visit you will get the chance to experience a day in the life of Jessica, where you can feed her and give her tea as this is her favourite drink.
Jessica is very affectionate and likes to be near people.
