WITPOORT WATER MILL
Valley of the Rainbow homes the historic Witpoort Watermill built by Willem Jacobus Volschenk in the 19th century which ended up playing a vital role in the Anglo-Boer War. Surviving the war, the watermill continued to operate until 1994. Visit the historical site or stay in the newly renovated fully catered Mill.
There are unique circular stone structures on the mountain slopes of the estate, was been built over 800 years ago, can also be visited unguided or toured with a guide who will explain the historical evidence of these sites.

The Manor House offers guests a choice of five rooms, two luxury rooms, two classic rooms and a standard room each with an en-suite bathroom. The Country House
The Country House is decorated in a classic country style and offers five luxurious double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom access to the veranda, with a magnificent view over the valley, indigenous forest and mountains. The country guest house is self-catering and accommodates a maximum of 10 persons. read more
Tent Chalets provide the more adventurous guests with the opportunity to experience nature in comfortable accommodation, glamping style. Each chalet is with an en-suite bathroom, front seating deck with kitchenette and with views over one of the lakes in the valley. The picturesque watermill which was built in the 19th century has been renovated into 2 separate accommodation rooms with incredible views of the dams, mountains and forests of Valley of the Rainbow estate. The newly renovated Mill, opens to a social bar and lounge area fitted with a bar fridge, stocked wine cooler and DSTV. The fireplace on the lower floor offers guests a cozy spot to warm up in winter. On the mezzanine level, the luxury Mill is equipped with a plush double bed and bathroom. This upper level sleeping area offers unique views of the dams. On the lower level there is a full bathroom with a double shower.
